Follow shot is frequently used particularly when trying to break up ball clusters, as the cue ball follows the object ball for a controlled distance after impact. Strike above the centre of the cue ball, taking care to raise your bridge hand to have greater accuracy. To follow a short distance, hit the cue ball softly about 1/4 cue tip distance above its centre. Raising the cue tip slightly and hitting with a bit more force will create more follow. Concentrate on the follow through after impact, as it also affects the forward roll of the cue ball.
