Pool since when

I started playing pool since junior college days and at the initial stage it is the way of how to hold a cue stick that is the issue. After that, then it is how to hit the ball so consistently that it will always get into the pot. But like many other games, there are more advance techniques that one can use. Later on I have some friends who even play for school and participated in the competitions. There are more ways of how one can hit the ball from different angles and that requires more sharpness. Still, if one can master the basics, you can basically play a good game.
